Screw Down Crowns: Many Invicta watches are equipped with a screw down crown to help prevent water infiltration. This is most common on our Diver models. In order to adjust the date and/or time on such a watch, you must first unscrew the crown before you can gently pull it out to its first or second click stop position. To do this, simply rotate the crown counterclockwise until it springs open. When you have finished setting the watch, the crown must then be pushed in and screwed back in tightly. Not doing so will cancel the water resistance of the watch and will void all warranties from the manufacturer. Overall, this process should not require a lot of effort or force.

Review : Very solid, nice-looking, but no screw-down crown!
This is a very decent watch for the price... but as a previous reviewer mentioned, the item description is wrong: there is no screw-down crown. I purchased directly from Amazon, so this is not an issue with a different seller bait and switching. Amazon was kind enough to offer me a partial refund, but they still (as of 3/17/2013) have not addressed the item description. The lack of screw-down crown makes this watch less water-proof, so it is a real fault, in my opinion.
That said, the watch is nice-looking and feels quite solid. My wife loves the look, though she insists it is a purple face. No, this isn't a high-end watch, but it is one I can wear just about anywhere and not feel conspicuous. The one other niggle I have is that the security catch for the clasp is quite difficult to open... it hurts my nails, and when I thought I was being a wimp, I asked my wife to try, and she complained that it hurt her, too.
